Cache Policy’s are how the raid card uses on board RAM to collect data before writing out to disk or to read data before the system asks for it. You go to these lines and check the context. Thanks for the information. How did you install alien on It no longer looks to be in the Ubuntu repo? This controller should work fine with Linux according to here.

Here are some details of what I’m experiencing: LSI MegaRaid i with 8 disks attached. I’ve been through dmesg twice entirely and cannot see anything suspicious that could be related. It fixed a problem with the bbu on one which had ubhntu old fw it turned out.

Has anybody gotten this card to work, or a related model? Read cache is used when the system has asked for some data and the raid card keeps the data in cache in case the system asks for the same data again. Does anyone have a suggestion?
