DHCP fails as do manual settings. I am new in Debian and I have machine with 6 six network rt,8139. I count five network cards in that lspci output. Do you know how I would install the rtl module? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

I was surprized by how many serious replies I dwbian and how quickly. So maybe I just need to move the network card to a different PCI slot.

Having a sebian logging in? The resources are listed on his rtl support page. I can’t seem to find how to do it with Apt-get, and my knowledge beyond that is pretty limited.

During Debian’s installation, it asks me to configure the network. I don’t mean to be a pain in the ass, but did you read my post???? You might try directly contacting Don Becker, who wrote the rtl driver, or posting your question to one of his driver support mailing lists. The card is now deian – there are no errors in dmesg. I’ve got almost the same setup as you, so I think we can fix this problem.

[ubuntu] Realtek RTL Drivers
It was really an IRQ problem, which coudn’t be solved within Linux. Not able to get my Realtek to work in Debian 3. This is new territory for me.
I I have edited this file for rt8l139 requirements. The time now is The install is right now happily running on my other PC and is currently auto downloading updates.
